Dr. Koyah is motivating the next generation and people of all ages to turn their ambitions into a reality by developing a plan for school and life success to step into their post-secondary dreams all over the world! If they don't know their life path and purpose, calling, and God-given talents in life-Dr. Koyah's "Life Paths with Dr. Koyah" Coaching Sessions are there to help, as she gets them on the path to a successful future!

Dr. Koyah is the epitomize of her message to audiences. She has been the first or the only in countless ways! Not only is she the first one in her family to get a master’s degree. She’s also the only member of her family to become a doctor, by getting her PhD that allowed her to be one of the first researchers in the country to delve into a little studied research area in the U.S.! Further, she is the first or only in many other ways.

As an underrepresented minority student at The University of North Carolina at Wilmington, Dr. Koyah became the first to create/found the television station for students on that campus-Student Body Television (now Teal TV), after meeting with the chancellor as an inspiring Media Executive to secure the first $10,000 of seed funding. Further, Dr. Koyah Founded “Health Careers Day on the Hill” at the University of North Carolina-the first public educational institution in America. She went on to further founded the Health Careers Leadership Society at Sanderson High School in Raleigh, North Carolina. Dr. Koyah also had one of the first and only TV Shows in America to help students prepare to step into college with the “Step N2 College TV Show” and further became one of the first TV hosts for the first urban QVC Network in the United States-Black Shopping Channel.

Her firsts don’t stop there. While in high school, Dr. Koyah became the first Enloe High School athlete to be featured in Teen Magazine as a scholar athlete three different times, as one of the top track and field athletes in the country coming out of high school. She is positioned to also launch the first national sports show “High School All-Starz TV Show” that will feature the top high school athletes (male and female) in America in all sports in a talk show format that shares the story behind the glory of America’s top high school athletes.

Further, Dr. Koyah is the founder of Nerd Beauty Productions-which is the first company in the country to create a membership organization, magazine, and television program to highlight, recognize, and empower professional degree holders (JD, MD, PhD level professional), with a particular emphasis on underrepresented minorities who are the movers and shakers in various industries around the world!

Whether she's on the stage or screen, Dr. Koyah is surely lighting the fire of empowerment that ignites passion in those that cross her path as her electrifying and contagious energy captivates audiences across the U.S..

Dr. Koyah is a seasoned television personality and a national television host who has interviewed numerous A-list celebrities including: Idris Elba, Taraji P. Henson, Best-Selling Author/Actor, Hill Harper, Actress/Comedian, Kim Coles and countless others! As a seasoned higher education administrator, Dr. Koyah served as the Assistant Director of the Undergraduate Business Program at UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School and as the Advanced Education Registrar & Manager of graduate programs at The University of North Carolina School of Dentistry where she managed 3 divisions: student services, admissions, and registration services.

Dr. Koyah currently is now the President of Nerd Beauty Productions and the Managing Director of Hoops Express, Inc. 501c3 and an Adjunct Professor of English at North Carolina A&T State University, North Carolina Central University, and Wake Technical Community College. She further is on the Board of Directors of iMedia Foundation. Koyah has a B.A. Degree in English & Communication Studies from The University of North Carolina at Wilmington and a M.S. Degree in Adult Education. Dr. Koyah also has a PhD in Leadership Studies with a concentration in higher education at North Carolina A&T State University.
